What you'll do
As the Territory Account Manager for DuraMag (A Shyft Brand) based in the Midwest region, you will enjoy maintaining and growing existing accounts and establishing new ones. In addition, your primary focus will be to build and nurture long-term relationships with distributors, truck dealers, fleet truck dealers, and fleet customers throughout the Midwest region
You will also:
- Maintain control over your assigned territories by developing strong customer relationships
- Manage dealer and fleet accounts
- Build additional business through up-selling to current customers
- Travel up to 50% to visit new prospects and existing distributor accounts
- Participate in trade shows, company open houses, golf tournaments, and other trade show association events to meet with existing clients and sell new products
- Prepare sales quotes and follow up with production regarding the status of open orders
- Partner cross-functionally to configure best-in-class solutions for customers
- Provide customers with marketing sales tools and product training
- Ensure prompt and careful handling of customer complaints and warranty issues
- Meet regularly with end users and large fleet accounts to spec out vehicles and bodies
- Call aftermarket vendors to get specifications and pricing information for quotations
- Partner with Transportation to ensure deliveries are communicated
- Support the release and assignment of chassis to order specifications
- Collaborate with engineers to build and prepare custom quotes and drawings for customers
- Assist with marketing projects as necessary
- Attend distributor and fleet customer events including GM, Ford, and Dodge meetings for training purposes
- Track sales through the CRM

What you need to be successful
- Associate's degree in business or technical field, or equivalent sales experience
- 3+ years of successful expertise working in an Outside Sales Representative / Territory Manager capacity
- Knowledge of work truck body applications, equipment, and accessories
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- CRM experience
- Willingness to learn, teach and be a team player
- A track record of exceptional customer service
- Ability to travel 50%+
