MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

WHAT TO EXPECT
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded, and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Columbia, MO plant, you will be a maintenance technician. As a maintenance technician, you will:
  • Manage the installation and maintenance of our industrial equipment
  • Be responsible for regular preventative maintenance on current machines
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns
  • Be responsible for installation of new equipment
Key responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance and safety checks
  • Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns
  • Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyors systems, and other production related equipment.
  • Fabricating parts for repair and machine upgrades
  • Installing new equipment
  • Communicating with production team and maintain a clean work area
  • Preparing and submitting maintenance reports
  • Other duties as assigned
ABOUT YOU
  • Two-year technical degree (mechatronics curriculum preferred) or equivalent experience required
  • Experience troubleshooting and repair or installation of industrial electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems required
  • Ability to use programmable logic controller systems (primarily Allen Bradley) such as RSLogix.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints
  • Experience with electrical and hydraulic test equipment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Be self-directed as well as have the ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • Must have regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. The employee must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime before & after regular hours & shifts, as well as on weekends.
  • Comply with all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

PAY & BENEFITS
  • Full-Time
  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire
  • Eligible for paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
