The Business Development Director ATF - USA is responsible for
collaborating with the Business Unit Leader to develop the
overall strategy for business development and sales for the
Advanced Technology Facilities (ATF) business in the USA
region. Ensures that the overall Business Development process
is conducted in the most effective, efficient and professional
manner possible in accordance with processes and procedures
established for Business Development. Maintains and develops
Key Account Customers through appropriate propositions and
ethical sales methods and relevant internal liaison, to
optimize quality of service, business growth and customer
satisfaction.


Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • In partnership with the Business Unit Leader, develops the
    overall strategy for business development and sales for the
    Advanced Technology Facilities (ATF) business in the USA region
  • Coordinates the business development and sales efforts
    between the ATF Global Business Unit (GBU) and the USA RBU
  • In partnership with the GBU and RBU leadership, takes on
    prime responsibility for selecting ATF accounts to develop and
    grow our sales into these respective customers globally.
    Coordinates with ATF GBU and RBU leadership to ensure that the
    work sold is resourced appropriately to ensure success
    throughout the lifecycle of the engagement (projects and
    programs)
  • Selling and closing A/E and EPC engagements with selected
    strategic customers is your primary role
  • Primary thought leadership responsibility for the strategic
    business development means and methods deployed to our GBU and
    RBU business development directors and support staff
  • Collaborates with marketing department and ATF marketing
    resources to ensure that the business development and sales
    collateral is regularly updated and our messaging and brand is
    aligned for proposals, presentations, professional conferences,
    and other related engagements
  • Gives a vision, thinks positively, and encourages employees
    to progress
  • Executes plans, delivers business goals, and implements
    change
  • Sets clear priorities and delivers on promises
  • Shows initiative, personal commitment, and courage
  • Encourages curiosity, open-mindedness, continuous
    improvement, and learning
  • Coordinates the development of the proposal with planning,
    estimating, operations staff, and inside sales team
  • Represents the company at local industry functions and
    other key local life sciences networks
  • Frequents regional and global travel is required.
    Relocation to support responsibilities may be required and will
    be negotiated at such time as deemed necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field
    required
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Prior sales experience required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude
    in building relationships with professionals of all
    organizational levels
  • Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
  • Results driven with proven sales track record
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
    etc.)
