Acara Solutions is looking for a Director of Quality in Portland, OR for one of our high-tech contract manufacturing machining clients that specialize in delivering high-quality solutions across various industries.
Pay: $120K to $140K with a 20% bonus
Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Director of Quality to lead their quality assurance and control initiatives. This role will involve implementing quality strategies that align with our organizational goals and building a culture of continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Strategy Development: Advance and improve an existing comprehensive quality strategy and QMS that enhances product reliability, meets customer expectations, and aligns with industry standards (ISO, AS9100, etc.).
  • Quality Assurance & Control: Oversee all quality assurance processes, including inspection, testing, and validation procedures.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor the quality assurance team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Customer Engagement: Be the primary point of contact for quality-related customer inquiries and issues.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with industry regulations while ensuring that all manufacturing processes and products adhere to legal and safety requirements.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize data analytics to track and report on quality metrics and trends.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in quality management within a semiconductor environment
  • Experience leading quality assurance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
