Job Summary

This role is crucial in supporting Alliance Development to more effectively build partnerships that drive policy change, improve patient outcomes, and solidify Otsuka's leadership in the pharmaceutical industry. By aligning partnerships with Otsuka's mission, Alliance Development directly impacts policy to benefit patients, while also enhancing our brand equity and political standing. This role supports Otsuka's positioning as a trusted thought leader, ensuring our innovative solutions are recognized and our commitment to patient and caregiver advocacy is unwavering.

The Alliance Development Senior Manager will lead the daily operations of the Alliance Development function, ensuring strategic alignment and consistency in engagement, support, and communication with all external alliance partners. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our partnerships, driving impactful collaborations that advance our organizational goals.

It is preferable that the candidate be located in the Washington DC area.

Job Description:

  • Staff and attend external partner organization meetings and conferences as needed.
  • Manage and track Alliance Development sponsored events; create and deliver follow up reports to track key metrics for internal impact reports and Dashboard analysis; Deliver support to invited guest, speakers, and partners Manage internal approval processes with Legal, PRC and other colleagues in association with external event preparation.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications to organize and maximize all Otsuka sponsorship benefits for sponsored conferences / events, including tracking events metrics for data collection.
  • Assist in supporting internal functions', such as Medical Affairs, support of Alliance Development sponsored conferences.
  • Work with Corporate Communications and other internal partners to elevate engagement around specific disease state advocacy days and other projects driving amplification.
  • Support management of internal communications for updates to Government Affairs and other internal teams on Alliance Development activity.
  • Manage sponsorship requests in the CyberGrants system and sponsorship tracker.
  • Manage invoices related to external partners and in collaboration with Government Affairs Business Associate.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 5-10 years experience working in Public Affairs, Government Affairs, Patient Advocacy/Non-Profit within a healthcare / patient care environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner in order to keep Alliance Development and other colleagues adequately informed of progress and strategic approach

Minimum $143,340.00 - Maximum $204,930.00, plus incentive opportunity: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting salary for candidates hired to perform the work. Other elements may be used to determine actual salary such as the candidate's job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in role.
