Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

Stellar Solutions has an opportunity for a Sr. Project Manager to directly support the modernization of the space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, providing range capabilities, and supporting the Assured Access to Space (AATS) mission. The overarching purpose of the program is to perform system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence to enable the Spaceport of the future. This position is in Vandenberg, CA.

In this position, you will:

    Be responsible for exceptional accomplishment of assigned Technical Direction Letters (TDLs) including all aspects of project execution (cost, schedule, performance, and technical requirements)
  • This Project Manager will be the program's "face-to-the-customer," responding to direction, negotiating project issues, team management, integration management, and successful completion of all project activities
  • Leads a multi-functional team of mission, hardware and software engineering, sustainment, training, logistics, security (including cyber) and support specialists responsible for overall system operational availability


Required Skills and Education:

  • 9 years managing teams/projects acquiring, maintaining, and sustaining integrated solutions for mission-critical applications
  • Experience managing large-scale modernization projects, to include cost estimating and management, schedule development, performance monitoring and reporting
  • Experience delivering multiple simultaneous modernization initiatives
  • Experience managing large-scale Agile or DevSecOps teams/projects, to include support to backlog grooming, cost estimating, baseline and risk management, schedule development, performance monitoring and reporting
  • Experience leading waterfall to Agile transformations, designed to deliver Minimum Viable Products in a consistent cadence
  • Experience managing Digital and Model-based Systems Engineering efforts
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communicating with customers to fully understand operational requirements; and in translating those requirements into project plans and performance measures

Training and Certifications:

  • Current relevant project management certification - Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) Certification

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5 years managing teams/projects acquiring, maintaining, and sustaining integrated solutions for DoD environments
  • Experience managing teams/projects acquiring, maintaining, and sustaining integrated solutions for space launch or other national security space mission systems

Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance

Location:

  • This position is full-time, on site in Vandenburg, CA

Compensation:

The typical pay range for this position is USD $160,000 - $200,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all included as part of package).



Deliverable(s)

Deliverables will be in the format of reports, briefings, spreadsheets, or other documents as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction.
