Reporting to the Basic Needs Coordinator, the CalFresh Program Assistant plays a pivotal role in advancing nutrition assistance outreach efforts at UCR. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all aspects of the UCR CalFresh Outreach program. Key responsibilities include coordinating outreach activities,managing the day-to-day operations of the program, and ensuring seamless collaboration with the Riverside County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS). The CalFresh Program Assistant will supervise and mentor student interns, providing them with the guidance needed to effectively support outreach initiatives. This role also involves managing intake screenings, processing applications for nutrition assistance programs, and offering ongoing technical assistance to students throughout their application journey. Additionally, the position is responsible for supporting the Basic Needs team in compiling and submitting required reports for nutrition assistance outreach programs, ensuring compliance with program requirements and enhancing the overall impact of the CalFresh Outreach program on campus.
Please be advised that this role is a 3-year contract position. The full salary range for the CalFresh Program Assistant is $22.65 - $37.60 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $24.55 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
