POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a finance position within Milliman, Global Corporate Services (GCS) that manages accounts receivable in the US and supports and trains Milliman employees on custom timesheet and billing systems. This position also manages a growing accounts receivable team in both India and the US.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Hire, train, develop, and manage an international accounts receivable and system support team (currently four employees) who:

    • Allocate incoming ACH, wire, and check payments
    • Research and resolve billing and payment discrepancies for US practices
    • Research and answer payment questions from billing administrators and billing managers
    • Complete incoming payment instructions for all US clients
    • Manage and consolidate all payment portals for US clients
    • Reconcile daily payment feeds from Wells Fargo and the lockbox to our internal cash receipts
    • Work with the GL group on the monthly allocation of cash; research and resolve cash discrepancies
    • Support Milliman employees in the use of internal time and billing systems and High Radius payment system
    • Provide excellent customer service on time, billing, and accounts receivable systems to all levels of employees
    • Lead/assist with the month-end closing of the billing cycle
    • Assist with complex billing situations and how to process them within our system
    • Assist users to identify and fix finance system user errors
    • Refine and improve accounts receivable system automation
    • Work with Finance Developers to identify and fix internal system issues
    • Test Finance system changes for the Finance Developers
    • Work with Human Resources to resolve employee record issues
    • Work with Legal to resolve contract record issues




  • Work with our new Business Transformation team to:

    • Map our current processes and systems
    • Brainstorm future state of our accounting time, billing, and accounts receivable processes and systems
    • Help evaluate and select a new ERP system
    • Help implement a new system throughout Milliman, including providing support to time and billing administrators
    • Help update billing policy with necessary changes for new systems




SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:



  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate must have minimum 5 years of experience working in accounting, billing, or accounts receivable.
  • The ideal candidate must have previous experience managing a team.
  • The ideal candidate must have intermediate Excel skills.
  • Must have proficiency in using Microsoft 360 suite.
  • Must have leadership, management, and team-building skills.
  • Must have accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:



  • SQL knowledge.
  • PowerBI knowledge.


LOCATION:

This is a remote role. The expected application deadline for this job is November 30th, 2024

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this role is $67,000 - $131,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
