Therapy Manager - Jefferson Einstein - Inpatient Rehab- Philadelphia Campus- Old York Rd

The Therapy Manager spends most of their time managing a team of therapists including Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapists. They are responsible for hiring decisions, promotions, staff development, performance of the units/programs they oversee and the performance review process. They oversee day-to-day operations of the clinic/s they are responsible for. Patient care responsibilities commensurate with operational needs of the unit/service line.

This position is for a 21- bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit on the campus of Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia on Old York Road. The therapy manager will work in conjunction with the leadership for this unit including the Nurse Manager, Program Director and attending physicians.

This position reports to the Director of Therapy for Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation

** This position is open to PTs, OTs and SLPs.

Essential Functions:

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Develops new programs under direction of Program Directors and Rehab Director and in conjunction with other programmatic or departmental key stakeholders. Suggests modifications to programs when appropriate.
  • Works collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Program Director and other discipline leaders to ensure the smooth running of the program, including resolution of any patient complaint/discharge issues.
  • Develops/revises policies and procedures for department as assigned.
  • Develops and/or participates in performance improvement projects with Program/Rehab Director.
  • Leads and directs professional and non-professional departmental staff in their care of patients; oversees the quality of services and staff work performance.
  • Manages departmental direction, revenue control, cost containment and expense control, and patient records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

SLP: Masterrsquo;s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.

OT: Bachelorrsquo;s, Masterrsquo;s or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.

PT: Bachelorrsquo;s, Masterrsquo;s, or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.

AND

Experience:

6 years of clinical experience with supervisory experience required.

Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:

Specialty Certification Preferred

SLP: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required. State License required. CPR certification required.

OT: Valid state license in Occupational Therapy. Valid certification from the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is required. CPR certification required.

PT: Valid state license in Physical Therapy.BLS,CPR certification required via AHA.


Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
