The Therapy Manager spends most of their time managing a team of therapists including Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapists. They are responsible for hiring decisions, promotions, staff development, performance of the units/programs they oversee and the performance review process. They oversee day-to-day operations of the clinic/s they are responsible for. Patient care responsibilities commensurate with operational needs of the unit/service line. This position is for a 21- bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit on the campus of Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia on Old York Road. The therapy manager will work in conjunction with the leadership for this unit including the Nurse Manager, Program Director and attending physicians. This position reports to the Director of Therapy for Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation ** This position is open to PTs, OTs and SLPs. Essential Functions:
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
