Job Summary
Fishbeck is actively seeking a talented Engineer to work in one of our Ohio offices. This position requires self-motivation, commitment to high-quality work performance, excellent planning, organization and communication skills, and the ability work with other staff in a project team environment.
Primary Functions
- Review flow monitoring data and identify dry and wet weather flow patterns including quantifying Rainfall dependent Inflow and infiltration.
- Work with SWMM and / or Infoworks modeling software to model storm and sanitary sewer collection systems.
- Work on planning studies for municipalities to address collection system capacity and wet weather issues.
- Prepare written reports communicating the subject matter in a clear and concise manner.
- Communicate and work directly with clients on modeling and sewer master plan projects.
- Plan and assist with design of sanitary sewer projects for local municipalities.
- Work closely with other technical staff from all Fishbeck offices to assist in providing consulting engineering services for state and private universities, national retailers, municipalities, architects, and local development clients.
- Interact daily with project teams in a multi-disciplinary and multi-office environment.
Minimum Physical Requirements
Exposed to occasional lifting and carrying. Will have normal office working conditions and be required to sit and use a computer. Capable of traveling to and maneuvering around project sites for attending client and project meetings and site observations. Able to use various technical equipment for communication and documentation. Visual acuity necessary to perform responsibilities.
Desired Education
Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
Desired Skills/Experience
- Registered Professional Engineer
- 8+ years' experience with the modeling of sanitary and storm sewer collection systems.
- SWMM hydraulic modeling experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including report writing.
