The Marriott Renaissance Hotel is seeking a creative and skilled Concierge Lounge Attendant to join their team of fun-spirited team members! To act as an ambassador of the hotel to our VIP and Concierge-Level guests by welcoming them to the hospitable Concierge Lounge, providing special assistance and information about local area attractions to customers and patrons, and offering a wide selection of alternatives for guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Duties:

* Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome.
* Make personal connection with each guest and respond to guest cues (anticipate their needs).
* Use a clear, understandable speaking voice, exercise judgment, respond to inquiries with accurate information regarding hours of outlet operation, directions to local attractions, or meeting rooms

* Maintain a spotless and organized area to ensure all guests have what they need at any time during the day and maintain a fresh, clean feel for the region.
* Ensure the Concierge Lounge is kept clean and stocked with the proper food and beverage for the given time of day.
* Follow proper food handling techniques and food safety procedures.
* Ensure all equipment works properly, including the fridge, warmers, and access door. To guarantee a quick fix, the supervisor and engineering must be notified if anything is out of order.

Specific Job Knowledge and Skills:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the job's essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

* Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom require patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve conflicts.
* Ability to listen effectively to speak and write English.
* Ability to stand, walk, sit, and perform essential job functions.
* Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergencies.
Other Expectations:
* Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
* Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the hotel's business needs. This includes nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
* All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
* Employees are always required to take on responsibility and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties.
* Complies with health and safety rules, regulations, and procedures to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications:
Education:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge of skills and abilities.

Experience:
You'll need to have prior customer service experience. Previous Front Desk or other prior hospitality experience preferred.

Grooming:
All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
