Job Summary
Central Washington University is recruiting an Assistant Professor - Creative Writing Fiction/Nonfiction to join our English department in Ellensburg, Washington. We're offering a salary, depending on education and experience, from $65,000 - $70,000 annually plus the awesome CWU benefits. The Role: This tenure-track position in the Department of English is expected to teach existing introductory, intermediate, and advanced creative writing courses in fiction and/or creative nonfiction, with preferred secondary expertise in poetry, screenwriting, or experimental writing, and other courses in their area of expertise using a variety of modalities. Faculty are expected to mentor students; contribute to the department/program; engage in scholarship and creative work appropriate to their field; and provide service to the University, the community, and their profession. Annual Salary: $65,000 - $70,000, based on a full-time nine-month appointment Appointment: Full-Time, Tenure-Track, 9 Month Appointment, with 3-2-2 quarterly teaching course load. Additional Summer teaching may be available. Central Washington University is on the quarter system with appointments from mid-September through mid-June.
