Your mission will be to: Purpose (Objective): This position has responsibility to ensure Distributors servicing RBI Brands adhere to the RBI Global Distributor Program and directly support the RBI DCs within the United States and Canada. Main activities: * This position is tasked with staying abreast of the requirements, regulations and developments related to quality assurance and food safety as it applies to the food distribution industry. The position is responsible for ensuring that the processes, procedures, documentation, and training within our customer facility are adequate to maintain food safety and quality throughout the supply chain. The person in this position will be expected to provide hands-on leadership and support and will operate as the primary contact. It is essential that the person possess not only the technical knowledge, but also the interpersonal and leadership skills to influence others and lead change. * Act as content expert for quality assurance. Must understand the QA requirements of the company and relevant government entities. Also required to follow and understand trends in the industry and FSMA to ensure the company is prepared and acting proactively to anticipate new requirements. * Ensures that existing distributors of food and packaging to all our client's brands Restaurant System maintain QA standards and meet QA and industry quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements. Supports, advises, and works directly with QA corporate teams, Supply Chain, Marketing and Innovation and Ops teams or any other stakeholder involved in the QA Program execution (including client's franchisees, master franchisees, designated Purchasers personnel and organizations or other QA Vendors) to drive profitable business growth and increase guests' satisfaction in RBI brands products. * Works closely with distributors to develop, support, and ensure compliance with the our client's Global Distributor Program. * The position will be focused on North America, but supporting the International markets as the Distribution SME, supporting all client's brands, as determined by QA. * Monitors and improves product safety and quality of the existing food and packaging products within the Distribution system, through audit reviews, facility visits (as needed), complaint program review and monitoring, developing QA training and guidance documents, and other Quality Assurance systems and processes. * Manage temperature monitoring/non-compliance loads for inbound and outbound cold chain management. * Ensures distributors only deliver approved commodities to our client's Brands restaurants through monitoring processes within SPEQ. * Certifies new distribution facilities to our client's standards. Supports the onboarding on new distributor facilities. * Monitors, investigates, and follows up on product complaints. Supports enquiries from health authorities/enforcement agencies resulting in product holds or recalls. * Works in multidisciplinary projects to enhance food safety, quality, profitability, and other related matters with all business functions (Development, Ops, Mktg, SCM) and Franchisees, supporting the QA function internally and externally. * Works with the QA corporate leadership and team on issues and projects related to driving global consistency, food safety, regulatory and quality worldwide in the brands systems. * Any additional duties that might be required by Merieux NutriSciences. Communication: Internal Interlocutors: Quality and Operations teams. External Interlocutors: Regular contact with our client's employees and leadership. YOUR PROFILE Knowledge: Profile (required education/qualification and professional background): BA/BS degree in food science, sciences, or related field., 3-4 years of relevant work experience. The QA Commercialization Manager - DC (QA Dist. Mgr.) is embarked in a structured program of onboarding, initiation, and annual performance review in order to be capable of approving in our client's system (SPEQ) intermediate milestones approvals within the approval or ongoing management of distributors (for example SPEQ QA SME review of credit denials, SPEQ certification of facilities, completion of the SPEQ DC Mapping process and any other intermediate approval as determined by QA). For those QA Program workflows where an official document is issued by our client (for example an Approval Letter issued to a Distributor), any of those intermediate approvals where the QA Dist. Mgr. is eligible to approve, on behalf of our client, must have at certain end of its workflow (a facility, a distributor corporate or any other end-to end process within our client's QA Program) a final approval executed by a corporate representative, when required. The QA Dist. Mgr. position is not authorized to perform any final approval or equivalent, which is exclusive to our client's corporate teams.
Required skills: Basic MS Office and other reporting and organizational tools. Ability to see color, lift up to 50 pounds, ability to taste and smell. Competencies in attention to detail, building trusting relationships, communication skills, customer focus, planning and organizing, quality orientation, time management. Management (Size and characteristics of the team(s)): None Work Environment: (include travel if applicable): Travel up to 25% of time. The incumbent will work primarily in an office setting with proper lighting and temperature control. Occasional exposure to extreme cold when visiting a distribution center or freezers. Work hours can vary according to the sample load and may include weekends. The incumbent must be able to handle all matrices as received, within appropriate safety guidelines. Visits to clients' facilities may be required, including distribution facilities and the incumbent must adhere to all requirements outlined in their health and safety protocols.
