Moog is looking for a Facilities Project Lead to plan, manage and direct facilities projects in our manufacturing plant. You will provide a working level of project management practices as a critical point of contact for project completion. You will advise management of project status, potential problems, and corrective actions taken. Our manufacturing campus totals over 280,000 square feet with 770 employees and includes a machine shop, heat treat, chemical plating, waste treatment and assembly & test, with a large engineering population of 300. Reporting to a Facilities Manager, you will have a 9/80 work schedule and work onsite in Torrance, CA.

As a Facilities Project Lead, you will:

  • Work as Administrator of Maintenance CMMS, to track service requests, PM completeness, edit data.
  • Work as Owner of site MOC process to aid in safe and effective physical changes to the site.
  • Independently lead smaller projects; and assist with large, complex projects, directing and managing resources to support planned business value. May be involved in several projects simultaneously.
  • Develop project schedules with stakeholder buy-in, coordinating and communicating schedule and scope changes to optimize project success.
  • Oversee project cost, schedule, task completion, and milestones to ensure delivery to the project plan. Assure contractual requirements are met where applicable.
  • Act as the primary contact with customer and external vendors / suppliers of assigned projects.
  • Report project status to stakeholders and management to alert them of risk to schedule or budget that will impact project achievement through MOC process.
  • Develop project metrics and drive continuous improvement on recurring basis after project launch.
  • Apply problem solving and people skills to business and technical challenges requiring project management capabilities.
  • Work closely with Site Engineer to plan and execute improvement projects.

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 3+ years of work experience in project management or construction management; experience must be in a manufacturing environment

This position requires access to United States export-controlled information.

It'd be great if you also had:

  • Working knowledge of environmental compliance in manufacturing
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint
  • Experience creating standardized resources and procedures
  • Experience in a Maintenance or Facilities role in manufacturing is a plus
  • PMP PMI certification is a plus

Salary Range Transparency:

Torrance, CA $85,000.00-$120,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
