POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

The Deputy Project Manager (DPM) is responsible for overseeing the building maintenance and operations of government facilities, including child development centers. The DPM will supervise maintenance staff, ensure effective building operations, and provide pricing and estimates for maintenance and repair services. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in building maintenance, operations management, and supervision of personnel. Additionally, the DPM must possess working knowledge of the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and relevant roles within the system.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Supervise building maintenance and operations for government and commercial facilities.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and communicate effectively with Government Contracting Officers (KO) and Contracting Officer Representatives (COR).
  • Manage personnel and coordinate the provision of maintenance and repair services.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and operational standards
  • Recommends courses of action and alternatives to avoid contractual problems.
  • Ensures subcontract services are performed in conformance with subcontract requirements.
  • Ensures a safe work environment for all employees free from Harassment, Intimidation, Retaliation, or Discrimination.
  • Provide accurate pricing and cost estimates for maintenance, repairs, and service requests.
  • Interpret, initiating, and implementing corporate policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a Safety Program in accordance with contract requirements and in compliance with corporate Safety Program.
  • Oversee custodial services and ensure proper maintenance of child development centers.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of GFEBS, including Real Property Viewer, A76 Master Data Maintainer, and other related roles.
  • Ensure availability during business hours (0700-1600, Monday through Friday), except for Federal holidays or when the government facility is closed for administrative reasons.
  • Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong understanding of government and commercial facility maintenance, custodial services, and repair operations.
  • Knowledge of DoD or other federal Government contracting, FAR, and related terms/regulations
  • Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of GFEBS in the following capacities:

    • Real Property Viewer
    • A76 Master Data Maintainer
    • A76 Material Requirement Planning Maintainer
    • A76 Plant Maintenance Order Approver
    • A76 Plant Maintenance Order Maintainer
    • A76 Plant Maintenance Reporter
    • Goods Receipt Processor


  • Experience with problem-solving, pricing, and conflict management.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience demonstrating hands-on proficiency with personal computers and with MS Office Software Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security (SCI) clearance
  • Be available off hours to support emergency calls.
