Mechanic Electrician

**Increased Pay Rates!!**

Operator jobs on evening shift start at $28.40 and increase to $31.15 after 1 year of service. (2nd shift receives additional $1.00 shift premium)

Position Summary :

This person will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical support in response to operational changes resulting from the malfunction, breakdown, relocation, replacement or other modifications of existing mechanical systems and/or equipment.

Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:

Maintain equipment using tools and equipment provided

Follows all work safety policies and guidelines

Completes all electrical/mechanical work that is needed in facility as well as equipment

Observes equipment operation and be able to fix and troubleshoot any malfunctions and /or safety issues/concerns

Performs PM's on equipment on a weekly basis and completes work orders as assigned

Adheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) product standards and guidelines

Maintains a clean and organized area

Performs other duties as assigned

Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours

Maintain acceptable times for repairs and adjustments to the lines

Assist Mechanic Operators on troublesome issues to alleviate downtime

Utilize LOTO as required when by passing guards or servicing a piece of equipment

Set up/tear down of assigned pieces of equipment on daily basis with minimal wait time

Perform emergency equipment repairs either alone or with assistance from other mechanics or team coordinators

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions

Follow diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturing instructions

Have an electrical license or certification

Must be able to troubleshoot malfunctions in timely manner and find resolution

Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States

Must pass a background check, drug screen

Must be able to read and write

Need to be familiar in SPC, HACCP, GMP'S SSOP'S and USDA

Computer skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Product knowledge and process knowledge

Ability to trouble shoot problems with machines to prevent down time

Physical Requirements :

Constant standing and walking (8 hours or more per day)

Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more)

Reaching overhead

Reaching below knees

Ability to multitask

Working with electricity and wiring

Completing required paperwork in timely manner

Using material handling equipment as needed

Working Conditions/Department Description:

Work in damp and cold environment as needed

Work with loud and noisy machinery as needed

Work in dusty environment when using spice as needed

Work with raw meat as needed

Work in congested areas as needed

Work in tight spaces in order to complete work
