DeZURIK, Inc., seeks an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer for Sartell, MN.

Responsibilities:

The Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the following job duties: responsible for the following job duties: Responsible for providing industrial engineering support to product design, product improvement, cost reduction and daily operations as assigned and facilitating the on-time delivery of customer orders including generating and revising part routings, and optimizing plant equipment layout. Assist in the preparation and facilitation of safety programs and specific environmental procedures, policies, and reports to maintain compliance with Local, State and Federal environmental regulatory agencies, including compliance inspections and the associated reports. Create customized routings to accommodate customer specifications on highly engineered parts and assemblies to efficiently meet customer requirements, control costs, and meet delivery dates. Develop and maintain standard routings, processes, and methods for the production of quality parts, including maintenance of the DeZURIK automated routing system. Produce and maintain support documentation to control processes and costs while maintaining quality, including creating rework work orders, completing time studies, and implementing engineering change orders. Develop work instructions for rubber milling, application of bonding types of cement, molding, and curing. Evaluate and improve upon existing manufacturing processes. Assist supervisors and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems. Review and facilitate equipment relocation and assembly process flow to maximize production capability. Support accounting, sales, and outside suppliers as required to develop manufacturing systems and solutions to ensure top quality, lead-time and cost. Assist in the facilitation of ongoing building and grounds maintenance activities, such as roofing, lighting, painting, lawn care, parking lot maintenance, and facility remodeling to accommodate departmental reorganizations. Justify new or replacement tooling, machines, and equipment. Prepare capital authorization requests and manage installation and start-up.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Five years' of progressive experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or related.
  • Position also requires the following:

    • Demonstrated proficiency in the manufacture and application of various elastomer compounds including NBR, and EPDM.
    • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and implement process improvements in rubber transfer molding and hand application of rubber.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in the application of fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) powder coat paint.
    • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems and implement process improvements in the application of FBE.
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic for Applications for the creation of customized and automated spreadsheets to support ongoing and future manufacturing processes and business concerns.
    • Significant demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems to understand engineering process flow and make informed business decisions.


  • Travel may be required to company's other manufacturing plants in the U.S. up to twice a year.
