PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate the required testing and follow up for potential lung transplant candidates, lung transplant candidates (waitlist management) and lung transplant recipients. Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements of the United Network Organ Sharing (UNOS) bylaws,Centers for Medicare amp; Medicaid Services (CMS) and Joint Commission (JC) regulatory bodies. The transplant coordinator will share on-call responsibilities for the lung tranplant program, which includes collaborating with Gift of Life, medical and surgical teams on the inpatient and outpatient services, all members of the multidisciplinary team and consulting specialists as indicated. The transplant coordinator will also support the out patient transplant clinics, round on in patients, coordinate the follow up care of transplant patients in all phases of transplant.
