Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to perform imaging examinations/procedures in two or more modalities during the same shift. Time will be divided based on workload.
Essential Functions
- Performs all duties as defined in the modality's job description.
- Identifies each patient using 2 forms of identification and reviews physician order(s) and requisitions for examinations ordered with clinical history and demographic information. Uses the computer system in documenting patient information to insure the quality of patient care, demographics, examination(s), ordering physician(s) and patients' reason for visit. Assess patients' condition, insures patient's safety.
- Performs all imaging examinations/procedures (utilizing appropriate equipment), as outlined in the department policy, following age-specific criterion. Identifies anatomical orientation on all images, and insures proper imaging identification. Reviews each examination for technical accuracy.
- Coordinates radiographic examinations to insure the quality and continuity of patient care and assists with the management of workflow of the department to insure the completion of work assignments. Organizes patient care and sets priorities by providing critical care first, transports patients as required.
- Reports all safety hazards to leadership of hospital safety program.
- Establishes and maintains good rapport and cooperative working relationships with all hospital contacts.
- Assists with orientation and training for new employees and students.
- Maintains patient information in picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) and in other computerized medical records systems to ensure accurate patient records.
Qualifications
- Required Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience in related field
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years of relevant experience in primary modality Required
- 1 year of relevant experience in secondary modality Required
- CRT-At least one License and/or Certification in area of specialty - UNKNOWN Unknown Upon Hire required And
- CRT-At least two Licenses and/or Certifications in area of specialty - UNKNOWN Unknown 1 Year required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
