Data Architect

Job Requirements:

* Develop and implement data architecture strategies and frameworks that align with business goals.

* Create and maintain data models for MTF-DM, including conceptual, logical, and physical designs, to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.

* Oversee data integration processes, ensuring seamless data flow between systems and applications.

* Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain data quality and compliance.

* Serve as a critical project role responsible for data architecture, adhering to CMS data governance and standards

* Work closely with database administrators, engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with architectural designs.

* Monitor and optimize database performance, implementing best practices for data storage and retrieval.

* Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, including data models, ETL processes, and data dictionaries.

* Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential to improve data architecture and capabilities.

* Participate in all Agile ceremonies.

Required Skills:

Proven experience:

* 8+years data architecture, data modeling using RDBMS.

* Proficiency in database management systems (e.g. PostgreSQL).

* Experience with data integration tools (e.g. AWS Glue)

* Experience with data modeling tools (e.g. Erwin)

* Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS RDS).

* Building strong relationships through Agile team(s) and personal performance

* Collaborating in a multiple team environment

* Exceptionally strong communication skills, verbal and written. Includes the ability to effectively communicate complex information to audiences with varying technical and system backgrounds and at multiple organizational levels

Desired Skills:

Experience with:

* CMS experience

* Supporting client stakeholders with varying levels of Agile experience

* Proficient in MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel

Education/Certifications:

Computer Science degree or bachelor's degree in a related major

Desired (pluses):

* Master's in information systems or computer science

* Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.
