JOB DESCRIPTION Summary: Seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sr IT Financial Analyst to join our Information Technology (IT) team. The successful candidate will serve as a partner with IT leadership and play a critical role in providing financial insights and support to drive strategic decision-making within the IT department. This position requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively. Reports to Sr. Vice President and CIO. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans for the IT department. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and providing actionable insights.
- Cost Management: Track and analyze IT expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to optimize IT spending.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports, including variance analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial dashboards. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
- Project Support: Provide financial support for IT projects, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculations, and financial modeling. Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Vendor Management: Assist IT procurement in evaluating and negotiating contracts with IT vendors. Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with financial terms and conditions.
- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate financial risks within the IT department.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives. Foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Corporate Financial Alignment: Serve as the integration point between corporate IT and Corporate Finance to ensure alignment of financial performance, task, budget and headcount reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- 5+ years experience as a Financial Analyst (FP&A), preferably within an IT or technology-driven organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
