Child and Family Therapist

The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center for Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. Salary and Benefits for Child and Family Therapist:

• salary range of $68,149 to $73,149 per year; based on licensure and previous relevant experience

Primary Duties for Child and Family Therapist:

• Provide intake assessments and initial treatment planning at TGC and in the community including in-home services
• Provide on-going treatment planning for CBS clients without an assigned therapist
• 
  Maintain a caseload and provide psychotherapy (individual, family and group) for CBS clients and provide on-going treatment planning for clients not being seen by a therapist.
  
• Complete SED waiver assessments
• Provide daytime crisis services when needed

Minimum Qualifications for Child and Family Therapist:

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling, and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP,LCPC OR LCMFT by the first day of employment

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

one year experience in a clinical setting providing assessment and therapy services

Preferred:

post master's clinical experience, and experience with the Kansas system of community-based mental health care and associated evidence-based practices.
