R10054988 Driver - Supply Chain Solutions (Class A w/Hazmat & Airbrakes) (Open) Location: La Porte, TX - Miller Cut-Off Rd - Retail Shop How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Supply Chain Solutions Technician will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Outlook Service Model to include packaged gas deliveries and management programs, establishing safe handling practices, efficient order processing and invoicing, initiating and executing cost reduction programs, reporting, and day-to-day customer interface at the customer sites. The Supply Chain Solutions Technician will be the first Airgas representative with the customer for all packaged gasses, welding hard goods, and safety-related issues. This position will be responsible for efficiently managing customers' product needs to remain ahead of usage and avoid emergencies. Airgas operates a modern and efficient fleet. Most vehicles are under six years old and equipped with driver-friendly technology, such as On-Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, the latest camera technology, and GPS navigation. In particular, you will: Streamline and manage ordering process and error resolution process. Manage e-commerce and EDI/EFT implementation. Provide reports for regulatory agencies, accounting/auditing, and internal cost allocation reports. Ensure accurate cylinder barcode tracking. Maintain hand-helds and other technology support equipment. Support the local branch 1-2 days per week and as needed to assist its deliveries, fulfill warehouse and yard responsibilities managing assigned customers' inventory. Load and unload their truck daily with gas cylinders & supplies while making deliveries in a timely manner. Airgas follows the FMCSA requirement for all motor carrier employers to run full queries of the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse database for any violations during the pre-employment process for all new CDL Driver Hires to ensure they are not prohibited from performing safety-sensitive functions. All new CDL Driver Hires must register for the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and allow Airgas consent to review their Clearinghouse record. ________________________ Are you a MATCH? Valid TX Class A commercial driver's license with valid medical examiner's card, hazmat & airbrake endorsements. Must have one (1) year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record to include no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years. In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school. Must be at least 21 years or older. Ability to participate and maintain customers' safety credentials to be able to enter the assigned sites. Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets. Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment. Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also required. Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines. Must be able to work occasional overtime if necessary.
