POSITION SUMMARY: The Middle Ear Research Lab at Massachusetts Eye and Ear / Harvard Medical School has a Swiss NSF-funded 2-year postdoctoral research fellow position available in early 2025, under the supervision of Aaron Remenschneider MD MPH FACS and Jeffrey Tao Cheng PhD. Our lab studies middle ear mechanics in normal, diseased and reconstructed ears. The research fellow will be conducting research in finite element modeling of human middle ear biomechanics using the-state-of-the-art Synchrotron Radiation-based X-ray Phase-Contrast Imaging (SR X-PCI) data of the middle ear collected at the Swiss Light Source of the Paul Scherrer Institute.
