Position Summary Plan and manage all aspects of special events that meet the strategic goals of the College of Dentistry. Special events include but are not limited to annual traditions such as Dean's Ring in the New Year, Dean's BBQ, Dean's Ice Cream Social, Dean's Honors Day, Oral Cancer Walk, White Coat Ceremonies, and Graduation; as well as all programs within the NYU Dentistry Center for Oral Health Policy and Management's Leadership Education Portfolio, and events and programs related to the College's admissions and recruitment efforts. Act as a liaison between Special Events and other departments and organizations, both internal and external to the College to conceptualize themes, research requests, assess feasibility, make recommendations, and implement events. Conduct budget administration, negotiate with vendors and venues, coordinate catering, manage contracts, secure space, arrange room setups, train and oversee special events volunteers from across departments within the College. Qualifications Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education: Master's Degree Required Experience: 5+ years experience planning and implementing special events or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in project management, budget management, and special events production strongly preferred. Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $85,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
