The People and Organization Communities of Expertise (COE) sits at the intersection of talent acquisition, employee engagement, and diversity & inclusion. This team is all about elevating our game as a service provider to and driver of incremental value for Butterball. Our team is central to bringing Butterball the right talent at the right time and establishing programs to develop and engage them. Our Talent Programs Co-op/Intern opportunity allows you the chance to roll up your sleeves and expand your mind in the world of HR.

You'll work individually-and as part of a team-to build your critical knowledge and skills across a wide array of talent disciplines including visual presentation creation, recruitment marketing content creation (flyers, booklets), talent branding and promotion, and campus recruitment.

The program's primary objective is to grow future leaders by providing professional development and a series of assignments that aligns with professional interest within the processing and manufacturing industry.

What you'll do:

Marketing/Employment Branding



  • Support our employer branding efforts by creating eye-catching content for us to stand out amongst other companies. This might include content such as flyers, handouts, booklets, and more.
  • Create various materials to support our Intern and Management Trainee Programs. This might include team rosters and both printed and digital resources.
  • Create a variety of PowerPoint presentations for on-campus recruitment classroom and student organization engagements. This might include Butterball overview, our various opportunities, and development training sessions.
  • Promote our Talent Programs opportunities in a fun and engaging way that resonates with the present-day college student. This might be in the form of photos, videos, and social media content.

Requirements/Preferences:



  • You have 0-2 years of professional experience.
  • You're an undergrad working towards a bachelor's or master's Degree with a major in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Business Management, Communications, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Canva or a working knowledge of graphic design (Photoshop).
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and ability to create eye catching presentations.
  • Ability to think outside the box to bring creative new marketing ideas to the table.
  • Strong communication (both oral and written), organization, and customer service skills.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are a high energy extrovert who enjoys speaking with and presenting to people at all levels (peers and leadership).
  • Ability to travel within North Carolina to support recruiting events.
  • You must have permanent work authorization in the United States.
  • You have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • You can commit to a 20-25-hour work weeks during the Spring semester, 40 hours during the summer, with potential to extend into the Fall semester and beyond.
