General Information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Training and Learning & Development Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and development, coupled with a strong background in engineering, to drive the continuous growth and development of our Transformer engineering team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Create and provide comprehensive trainings tailored to the needs of transformer engineering teams, focusing on technical skills, product knowledge, and professional development.

  • Coordinate and conduct design training programs, including blended learning such as pre-learning, digital learning, experiential, peer-to-peer and workshops.

  • Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and webinars for engineers at various levels, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill acquisition.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback mechanisms, assessments, and performance metrics, and continuously refine content and delivery methods based on results.

  • Collaborate with engineering leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to identify training needs, align learning initiatives with business objectives, and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years of training experience in manufacturing industry.

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and transformer technologies.

  • Candidate having transformer manufacturing experience may qualify them for visa sponsorship that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the U.S.

  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and training delivery, utilizing a variety of learning methodologies and tools.

  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation Skills and engagement skills in-person and virtual Ability to travel 10-25%
