Summary:

The primary function of this position is to prepare and load outgoing shipments and unload trucks of incoming goods and to handle material required for assembly. Work is performed with direction from a supervisor or work lead with work delegated on a regular basis.

Essential Duties:



  • May perform stock picking, cycle counting, and point of use stocking tasks using manual and motorized material handling equipment including tow motors and pallet jacks
  • Performs material data transactions on computer terminal
  • Ability to look-up and investigate transaction history to resolve inventory discrepancies.


  • Loads and unloads trucks


  • Accurately reports shop floor production data via computer terminal and/or written reporting
  • Follows visual and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allotted
  • Performs cycle counting of parts and material handling duties as directed by Supervisor
  • Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Adheres to all quality and safety standards
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned


Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:



  • One to three years of warehouse or comparable experience preferred
  • Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
  • Operation of small power tools, other hand tools, computerized and high-pressure equipment
  • Ability to operate tow motor, forklift, standup picker and other equipment as needed
  • General carpentry skills may be required
  • Goal oriented and team focused to ensure completion of projects in a timely manner
  • Performs all work in accordance with safety and workmanship and good housekeeping specifications
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs., occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, work overhead with arms, and sit or stand for several hours at a time
  • Eye/hand coordination required to operate equipment and tools
  • Ability to wear proper Personal Protective (PPE), as required per plant rules
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary, including weekends
