The Superintendent - Electrical and Instrumentation will lead and manage a team of forepeople on construction sites, ensuring that electrical and instrumentation work is executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role is crucial for the successful completion of projects, bridging the gap between traditional energy sources and sustainable solutions, and contributing to Worley's commitment to delivering sustainable change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership to forepeople and trade crews, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Ensure that all team members are trained and adhere to safety protocols.

Scheduling and Planning: Develop and implement detailed work schedules and plans, ensuring that project timelines and milestones are met. Coordinate with other departments to integrate electrical and instrumentation work with overall project activities.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Uphold and enforce Worley's HSE policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure a safe working environment.

Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work performed by trade crews, ensuring it meets or exceeds industry standards and project specifications. Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.

Cost Management: Track and manage project costs related to electrical and instrumentation work. Ensure that the project stays within budget while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Apprentice Training: Oversee the training and development of apprentices, ensuring they gain the necessary skills and knowledge to progress in their careers.

Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the construction management team, clients, and other stakeholders. Resolve conflicts and issues that may arise during the course of the project.

Systems, Processes, and Tools: Utilize advanced systems, processes, and tools to enhance project efficiency. Participate in the development and implementation of new methodologies to improve overall project outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILL SET

Experience: A minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation work on construction sites, including supervisory roles. Experience with sustainable energy projects is highly desirable.

Certification: Possession of a journey-level certification in electrical and instrumentation, or equivalent qualification.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage large teams, with strong skills in mentoring and developing personnel.

Technical Expertise: Advanced understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems, processes, and tools. Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions.

HSE Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices in the construction industry.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others. Skilled in conflict resolution and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.

Planning and Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to develop and manage detailed work schedules and plans.

Problem-Solving: Ability to identify problems and develop innovative solutions. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
