Advanced Practice Provider - Gastroenterology

Mercyhealth, an award-winning fully integrated health care delivery organization based in southcentral Wisconsin and northern Illinois, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Gastroenterology team in Janesville, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing high quality personalized care to this specialized patient population. This opportunity is located in Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center Michael Berry Building. This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our Gastroenterology team!

Opportunity:

• Collaborate with experienced physicians and two other advance practice providers
• Work includes both outpatient and inpatient
• Collaborate in the clinic setting managing patient care
• Inpatient consults, rounding on patients in the hospital during daytime clinic hours
• M-F work week, no call - great for work/life balance!

Qualifications:

• Ability to work well independently and under pressure.
• Strong communication/interpretive and analytical skills.
• A high level of independent judgment and ability to handle empowerment for independent action.
• Ability to pass the Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check and/or Illinois Health Care Worker's Background Check.

Experience/Licensure:

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program/Physician Assistant Program
• Obtain CME experience as required for re-certification
• Hold valid state license and CME credits for license renewal
• Current DEA number
• Other certifications as required
