McKesson Medical-Surgical is seeking a Senior Manager, Market Access with expertise in reimbursement for clinical laboratory services. In this newly-created role, you will provide valuable insights and support to field sales and lab specialist teams. In addition, you will develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including the field sales and lab specialist teams, to provide education and guidance on reimbursement strategies.

The role will also entail collaboration with key manufacturers to understand their market access efforts to identify opportunities for collaboration, and conducting in-depth analytical research to gather insights on pricing, reimbursement, and market access for both new and existing products. The Senior Manager, Market Access will also stay up-to-date with changes in regulations that impact reimbursement for clinical laboratory services and monitor routine updates by payors on reimbursement policies for key tests and ensure that our organization is informed and prepared.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expertise to the business in Lab reimbursement: 50%

  • Scans market for reimbursement changes, monitoring trends and updates to regulations.
  • Conducts analytical research and provides expertise on pricing/reimbursement and market access for new and existing products.
  • Provides education to the organization on lab reimbursement regulations and changes, driving value to the customer.

Data Analytics: 30%

  • Works closely with data team to understand and cleanse data.
  • Turns data into meaningful insights and sales target information.
  • Provides support and training to Lab Verified Target initiatives.

Help Medical-Surgical business unit develop positions related to reimbursement. 20%

  • Leverages knowledge of reimbursement landscape along with feedback from customers and sales teams to identify areas of influence with manufacturers, payors, and industry trade associations.

Achieve Financial and Non-financial Objectives:

  • Execute plans to meet & exceed objectives.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Required Education/Training

  • Degree or equivalent experience; MBA or other Masters Degree preferred.

Required Business Experience

  • 7+ years of relevant experience.

Required Specialized Knowledge/Skills

  • 3+ years relevant experience in Market Access in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or diagnostics.
  • Understanding of market access stakeholders, including payors and policymakers (CLFS, MolDX, MACs, and Private Payors)
  • Problem solving, research, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written; ability to simplify technical information
  • Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify trends, anticipate changes, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated success building collaborative relationships within a matrix environment

Preferred Experience:

  • Diagnostics experience preferred, but not required

Working Conditions:

  • Traditional office environment.
  • Large percent of time performing computer-based work is required.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$101,100 - $168,500
