Job Purpose:

Manages the area to deliver high quality products, manufactured in a safe way to fulfill the needs of supply chain. Develops area strategy that aligns to Zebulon future state including GSK Production System. Manages personnel, operation, activities, and budget related to production. Ensures the day to day continuous improvements result in driving towards Zero Accidents, Zero Defects and Zero Waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage multi shift operations responsible for manufacturing and/or packaging products in a manner which ensures supply to the patient and supports Strategy Deployment goals while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in line with the judgement ladder (Safety, Quality, Supply, Cost).

  • Lead and coach First Line Leaders to deliver capability build of direct and indirect reports, which is to be done through spending >20% of time on shop floor, engagement with OJT practices, and aligned to the FLL capability matrix.

  • Utilize the GSK Production System standards towards the goal of Zero accidents, Zero defects and Zero waste while delivering continuous improvement benefits using lean methodologies, this includes delivery of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Yields, and Product Costs.

  • To Forecast and Deliver area budgets through monthly budget review cycles, focusing primarily on Operational Expense aspects of budgets.

  • To provide clear leadership, development and direction for the team by creating and executing effective development plans that leverage a 70/20/10 philosophy which focuses on in-role learning / development being supported by mentorship learning opportunities and formal training curriculums.

  • Develop and deliver a communication plan for the area to ensure direct and indirect reports are aligned, well informed, and energized to support the Safety, Quality, and Performance expectations

  • Responsible for capacity statements and ERP master recipe data for products within area of responsibility.

  • To represent value stream during regulatory audits (internal and external) and serve as point of contact for internal and external visitors.

  • Act and behave in a manner consistent with the Company values and Behaviors.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • 10+ years' experience in highly regulated industry.

  • 5+ years' experience as a leader managing a production staff groups in regulated industry

  • Experience working across an organization interacting, influencing and negotiating effectively with all levels of management and peers.

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), conflict resolution, teamwork, and leadership skills

  • Experience delivering improvement initiatives and/or culture change resulting in both financial and non-financial benefit, and behavioural change

  • Financial knowledge on the level of budget setting and execution

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or MBA - Management preferred.

  • Masters (MS/MA, MBA) strongly preferred.
