Principal GenAI Architect (Remote)

Our practice is seeking a highly qualified GenAI Architect with .Net and Solution Architect background and experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications. Our Developers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Location: Ijamsville - MD, Various or Remote

**Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future**

Responsibilities

* Participate in collaboration efforts around new projects and provide thought leadership and technological suggestions to achieve the desired goal.
* Build high-level solution-approach documents that outline the proposed solutions, technology components, estimated costs, proposed resources, and estimated resource usage.
* Create low-level solution designs which includes any vital components, technology sequencing, and master end-to-end plan.
* Partner with all levels of the organization including Product / Business collaborators Engineering / DevOps, Agile Facilitation, Management, and Production Support / Site Reliability Engineering in the development of end-to-end solutions.
* Account for challenges generated by constraints including risks, time, resources and scope.
* Partner with Agile Facilitation and Product Management teams to provide key insights and progress into the status of solution development.
* Provide frequent reviews of in-flight solutions to partners, management, and leadership and be prepared to speak to them in both technical and high-level terms.
* Work closely with Software Engineering leadership and contributors to ensure delivery of quality solutions.
* Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Site Reliability team to ensure proper technology selections, infrastructure design, and cloud resource allocations.

Qualifications:

* Analytical Skills - Strong ability to use critical thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to "connect the dots" when it comes to large system design and understand, communicate, and solve for enterprise scale technical integration concerns.
* Strong negotiation skills, problem-solving, planning skills, and sound judgment.
* Ability to manage numerous projects, prioritize, and adhere to timeframes in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to balance critical thinking/long term opportunities with operational focus.
* 10 + more years of combined software development and architecture experience.
* 5 + years of experience with .NET (Framework and Core) development with a focus on web-related frameworks like ASP.NET WebForms and ASP.NET MVC is desirable.
* 5 + years of experience with cloud computing. Microsoft Azure experience is highly desired.
* 4 to 5 years in proven experience in analyzing business requirements, recommending technical solutions, and writing technical specifications and/or requirements.
* Experience with architecting applications consuming LLM models like Chat GPT.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 12/15/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $113K - $180K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
