We have an opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join our North Aurora, IL team. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading the sustaining engineering team for all manufactured products. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.

You will:

  • Apply Value Engineering principles both before launch and throughout project life to give Sales the ability to retain the business at or above desired profit levels.
  • Interface with VE team to support material cost reduction, and drive major refresh efforts where agreed.
  • Sustaining Engineering/ Operations Support:
  • Lead sustaining engineering team focused on continuously improving and supporting our current and future product offering.
  • Provide engineering support required for all test lab activities, third party agency listing activities, and quality control activities.
  • Maintain and support the engineering data and processes required for business management tools such as ePDM, JDE/SAP, PCO Process, CAD tools, JDE configuration data, Encompass 3.0, etc.
  • Participate in talent development activities, succession planning, talent risk mitigation, and performance management for the local team.
  • Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department.
  • Maintain and monitor the team's capacity levels and resource needs. Utilize performance metrics for all areas of direct responsibility to maintain alignment of team performance and company goals.

Key Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline with 5 to 10 years of experience in centrifugal pumps, industrial equipment, or controls.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively in a cross functional environment with other engineers, customers, vendors, sales and marketing, and shop personnel.
  • Knowledge of variable frequency drives, control systems, sensors, PLC programming, and motors.
  • Knowledge of machine tolerances and fits, manufacturing processes, and laboratory testing.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82300 - $152800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus..
