Job Description:

We are currently seeking a self-motivated mid-level Geologist or Scientist for our Hunt Valley, MD office.

What you will do:

The Geologist or Scientist will serve as a task manager and/or team leader and will be responsible for the planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases for a wide range of multi-disciplinary environmental projects, with a focus on site characterization and remediation (SCR) and munitions response (MR) projects, along with CERCLA and RCRA-type site assessments and remedial activities.

What you will need:

• BA/BS or MA/MS degree in Geology or Environmental Science with a focus on environmental contamination, engineering geology, and hydrology/hydrogeology is preferred.
• 3 - 10 years of experience with a A/E firm or government entity, including project/task management, field-sampling procedures, hydrologic and contaminant mapping skills, document research, and analytical laboratory data interpretation and reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office suite.
• Environmental analytical/numerical (fate and transport) modeling and GIS experience a plus.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Experience working with regulatory agencies a plus.
• Willingness to travel out of state for project tasks a week or more at a time.
• Current OSHA HAZWOPER training and professional certifications are a plus.
• Experience with mentoring/supervising junior staff a plus.

Anticipated salary range is $60,000 - $80,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
