Marketing Communications Specialist

Collaborates with Applied Industrial Technologies cross-functional teams to effectively promote products, services, programs and events in a manner that aligns with enterprise marketing, branding and communications strategies. Supported initiatives may be internally or externally focused.

Responsibilities

  • Supports industry verticals and product management with marketing communications materials, including product sell sheets, brochures and co-branded pieces
  • Sees through the writing, editing, design and proofreading efforts of communications materials - maintaining consistency in message and corporate branding
  • Works directly with graphic design team to produce or enhance materials
  • Polishes and enhances presentations for internal and external business reviews
  • Engages with digital marketing team as needed to support campaign efforts
  • Collaborates on corporate / field special events
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related area of study
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in executing marketing communications needs; ability to apply advanced mar-comm concepts and best practices
  • Strong writing, editing and verbal skills; highly creative; confidence in skillset and recommending course of action
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management skills; attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects and fluid deadlines; ability to prioritize and problem solve
  • Software proficiency that includes Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in digital marketing tools
  • Knowledge of print production preferred
