The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) invites applications for a Reporting and Analytics Senior Analyst position in the Population Health and Quality Improvement Analytics section. A successful applicant will engage in applied health services and population health research in a project-based, team setting. The successful candidate will provide expertise and support for quality improvement projects. Reporting and Analytics Senior Analysts performs mainly technical skill tasks, as well as contributes toprojectleadershipand administration on quality improvement initiatives; completes work independently on tasks with moderate complexity while assisting or completing advanced complexity tasks with appropriate assistance and oversight. May work on between 3-5projects at a time. Typical responsibilities are project-specific and may include combinations of the following: leads or assists with the development of and provides technical assistance for the development and coding of quality measures; reviews data received from clinical sites participating in quality improvement collaboratives; analyzes data including developing quantitative reports and visualizations with aggregated results of quality or population health metrics; composes technical reports, manuals, and presentation materials; presents results in clear format to non-technical audiences; reviews work products from subcontractors; conducts literature searches and literature reviews; assists with institutional review board (IRB) applications and other data governance requests; designs and executes linkage strategies for connecting administrative datasets. Select projects may also require the Research and Analytics Senior Analysts to work with data dashboards and address data quality issues. Minimum Education Required: Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required. Additional Education Required: Required Qualifications: A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree or 2 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree in a relevant field of study is required. Demonstrated usage of R, SAS, or Stata for data analysis is required. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen. Additional Desired Qualifications: Experience working on quality improvement initiatives or population health research, including developing or coding clinical or population health quality measures. Training in quality improvement science is preferred.
