Posting Date: 10/18/2024 Salary Range:$ 87,700 - $155,600 (SS II) Work Location Type: Dedicated On-Site (working 100%on-site) What your job will be like: Are you looking to join a strong committed team of scientist? If so, consider Jefferson Lab's Data Acquisition Group. As a Data Acquisition Scientist, you will be responsible for providing support for the design, development, implementation and operation of data acquisition systems for all nuclear physics experiments at the laboratory. The focus of this position is the design of custom high speed circuits, coding of firmware, and software that will interface with other data acquisition systems. Firmware is developed with VHDL or other is specific FPGA tools plus embedded processors in the data acquisition systems. This includes trigger systems and front end digitization hardware. The position duties also include support for the operation of data acquisition systems in the experimental Halls, hardware test stations throughout the laboratory and at collaboration institutions.
