Overview
Texas Oncology is looking for a Phlebotomist to join our team! This position will support the Laboratory Department at our 12221 Renfert Way location in Austin, Texas. Typical work week is Monday through Friday with rotating shifts: 7:45a-4:15p; 8:00a-4:30p; 8:15a-4:45p; Specimen processing, 8:45a-5:15p with rare occasions of up to 5:30p. This position will be hired at either a level 1, 2 or Sr based on candidate relative experience. What does the Phlebotomist do? (including but not limited to) Under direct supervision, is responsible for the collecting and processing of specimens from patients. Follows quality assurance and safety policies and procedures. Assists with patient flow as needed. Properly identifies patient, draws blood samples and sends to laboratory for analysis. Maintains collection areas and equipment and performs record keeping duties. Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Qualifications The ideal candidate for the Phlebotomist position will have the following background and experience: Level 1
Level 2 (in addition to level 1 requirements)
Level Sr (in addition to level 1 and 2 requirements)
