The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Financial Coordinator is responsible for the daily financial activities and project coordination of a variety of fiscal activities within the Department of Psychiatry's Central Business Office. Will work closely with the Finance Team to support administrative and financial transactions, including processing and reconciling the daily clerical, data entry and financial functions of the Columbia Psychiatry Business Office.

Responsibilities



  • Compile and process all financial paperwork in financial system daily; process cash deposits, gift transmittal, vouchers, invoices, create purchase requisitions and purchase order.
  • Assist with departmental quarterly and fiscal year close preparation.
  • Respond to customer/vendor billing inquiries and other requests; reconcile vendor payments, create, modify vendors, and confirm vendors are set-up properly in the University system.
  • Reconcile department credit card keeping in mind University regulations and policies.
  • Process supply orders for business office and various divisions within Psychiatry, and handle p-card purchases.
  • Assist with preparation of expense tracking schedules, ARC closing entries, and reconciling OTPS expense.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.



Other Requirements



  • Must successfully complete all online systems training requirements.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
