Responsibilities

The Chief Resident serves several roles and provides a variety of functions which fall into four primary categories: leadership, administration, education, and supervision. The chief resident reports directly to the Program Director. The chief resident works with the Associate Program Directors, Program Coordinator, faculty, and Clinic Manager as a member of the leadership team.



Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1.Successful completion/graduation at an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program and is in good academic standing by June 30, 2024. The candidate must not currently be engaged in a Match agreement with another program through the 2024 Match cycle.

2. Active BLS and ACLS certification is required.

3. Active Rhode Island Medical License.

4. Applicant must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.
