Are you an accounting professional with a passion for payroll and a knack for numbers? Foth is looking for a talented Accountant to join our dynamic team! In this role, you'll collaborate with dedicated colleagues, lead crucial audits, and ensure our financial processes run smoothly. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with our payroll team to ensure seamless biweekly payroll processing, stepping in as backup support whenever needed.
  • Audits and Audit Support: Take charge and be the go-to person for internal and external payroll-related audits (401k, Work Comp, DOT, etc.). Be a key player in company audits, including Retirement Plan and Financial Statement audits. Act as the primary contact with outside auditors for General Liability insurance and Workers Compensation audits.
  • Close with Confidence: Participate in the period-end closing process, tackling various tasks alongside our accounting team.
  • Journal Entry Master: Prepare monthly and annual standard journal entries with precision.
  • Reconciliation Expert: Keep our books balanced with monthly and annual general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Compliance Champion: Conduct analysis and provide support for Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, DOT, and other compliance needs.
  • Expense Manager: Oversee the accounting for company travel and expense reporting processes.
  • Cash Flow Guru: Support daily posting of cash receipts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Vendor Relations: Assist with vendor setup and maintenance.
  • Survey Specialist: Participate in completing governmental or industry surveys as required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similarly related field
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting roles, demonstrating a progressive career in financial management
  • Technical Skills: Prior experience in general accounting and payroll
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Software: Experience with Deltek VantagePoint
