Description

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineer to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide high-level technical support to employees, partners, and customers
  • Create point-to-point wiring diagrams for access control and video systems
  • Develop custom software and scripts to enable system functions beyond manufacturer capabilities
  • Perform complex software system upgrades and deploy, maintain, and upgrade server hardware and operating systems
  • Evaluate products to ensure they function as desired
  • Coordinate vendor resources to resolve issues and ensure project quality and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the sales team to promote successful project outcomes
  • Mentor and guide junior engineering staff
  • Program and configure access control, CCTV, and network hardware
  • Make decisions conducive to customer, employee, and company goals
  • Maintain organization, self-motivation, and a positive working environment
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as required by business evolution


Basic Qualifications:



  • CCure Enterprise certified
  • Milestone Integration Engineer (MCIE) certified
  • 7 years of experience in the security industry with expertise in video and access control systems and security integration
  • 7 years of experience in the electronic field utilizing AC/DC theory daily
  • 7 years of experience working with computers at a systems level
  • Strong understanding of best practices and the ability to implement them within the business
  • Ability to function effectively as a team leader and organize staff workload for successful implementation
  • Strong decision-making skills, fostering team results, and carrying out responsibilities effectively
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to close projects on time and within budget
  • Adaptable team player who can work in diverse environments and educate/mentor others
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of drafting technical documentation and conveying technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Results-oriented and customer-focused
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule due to site time zone
  • Travel may be required depending on project assignments
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
  • Periodic/random substance testing may be required
  • Participation in on-call support for internal and external customers, following a rotating schedule set up annually
