The Role

Forecast International, a GovExec portfolio partner, seeks an experienced Commercial Aerospace Industry Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for being a subject matter expert, as well as updating and forecasting commercial aircraft produced and distributed around the world. Forecast International (FI) tracks the production and demand for a wide range of aerospace and defense systems, including military & civil aircraft, rotorcraft, missiles, UAVs, military electronics, space systems, and aviation gas turbine engines. Commercial aerospace is a significant part of FI's overall coverage of the world markets. FI analysts are viewed as experts in their respective fields and provide both consultative services and analytical support for reports covering the market.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of expertise in trends and issues facing the commercial aerospace segment of the global market for aircraft, including rotorcraft and urban air mobility product segments.
  • Leverage FI's proprietary models to maintain a 15-year production forecast and update the Forecast International civil aerospace programs database accordingly.
  • Participate and/or lead special market studies and consulting engagements
  • Develop and publish industry analysis and perspectives through white papers, online newsletters e.g., FI's Flight Plan and Market Insights, social media, and other ad hoc reports.
  • Support Forecast International's sales team and colleagues regarding the commercial aerospace sector as a subject matter expert.
  • Travel to trade shows and interact with clients and industry experts in person or on panels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, master's preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of aerospace programs and the commercial aviation sector. Direct experience working within the industry is a plus.
  • Strong written and presentation skills. Public speaking experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with current events and industry news on the civil aerospace sector.
  • Excellent research and data interpretation skills. Data visualization experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Google products.

The compensation range for this role is $85,000 to $95,000 per year.
