STV currently has openings for a Construction Manager in the Transportation group in Hartford.

STV is a leading, award-winning professional firm offering engineering, architectural, planning, environmental and construction management services. We are seeking a seasoned Construction Business Development Manager to join us in our Hartford, CT office.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth of the business within the local CEI Market
  • Provide leadership for all staff within the Connecticut CEI group
  • Formulate and manage project budgets and resource planning
  • Prepare and manage quarterly workload projections, monthly Revenue Recognition Report, monthly Exceptions Report and assist with collections as necessary.
  • Actively participate in all business development and client management activities in close collaboration with the Regional Business Development leads and the local Business Area Manager
  • Maintain continuous engagement with STV clients and strategically align the operations for upcoming opportunities
  • Collaborate with other states within the region to cross sell business opportunities and deliver high quality projects
  • Coordinate teaming arrangements for project proposals as necessary and assist with proposal preparation and/or review
  • Promote teaming opportunities with S/M/WBE businesses

  • Business development experience and successful record with business pursuit wins within the public sector
  • Strong operational management experience, with a deep understanding of all key financial and business metrics and how to excel in driving business results
  • Demonstrable leadership and communication abilities
  • Superior management and organizational skills
  • Experience working with architects, engineers, contractors and managing multi-discipline project teams
  • Ability to communicate clearly and directly at the executive and subordinate levels
  • Commitment to a culture of safety, and quality
  • Experience mentoring young professionals and developing senior leadership staff
  • Experience with organizational change both at the Operating Division and Corporate levels
  • Servant leadership attitude

Requirements

  • The successful candidate will have the following requirements:
  • 20 or more years of experience that includes working at Senior Leadership levels for a Program/Project/Construction Management firm or Owner's Agency
  • PE designation is required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Related field degrees are considered
  • Experience managing teams
  • Operations and finance management experience
  • Business development, proposals and presentation experience required
  • High level understanding of the major engineering and construction project delivery methods (Design-build, CMAR, etc)
  • Multiple markets experience a plus

Compensation Range:

$140,810.99 - $187,747.98
