Shift: Varied during Pharmacy Hours

Monday - Friday 7am - 7pm

Saturday - Sunday 8am - 5pm

Compensation:

* Base Pay Range:

o $14.80 - $23.32/hour, based on experience

o CERTIFIED, $16.68 - $26.31/hour, based on experience

* Shift Differentials:

o Additional $1.25 per hour for Evening shift

o Additional $2.00 per hour for Weekend shift

All our Mizzou Pharmacy locations are located either within a MU Health Care facility or clinic where we partner with other healthcare professionals to improve the lives of our patients.

You will prepare and dispense medications and manage inventory while collaborating closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Prepare, dispense, and distribute medications.

Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and other pharmacy employees.

Provide on-the-job training to new personnel and assist in evaluating the progress of new employees.

Receive prescriptions, complete data entry of prescription orders in the pharmacy dispensing software, and adjudicate third-party insurance claims.

Prepare and label prescriptions consistent with state and federal labeling guidelines.

Conduct point-of-sale transactions that require proper cash handling, offer patient counseling, and comply with all out-window procedures for patient safety.

Answer telephones and handle calls that do not require the personal attention of a pharmacist.

Deliver quality customer service in all interactions with patients.

May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must apply prior to hire for Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern licensure by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and may require ambulating, remaining in a stationary position and positioning self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. The employee may frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 lbs and occasionally move objects up to 25 lbs. This role may also routinely come into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.
