Overview

This position assists in maximizing enrollment by performing all tasks related to scheduling, including establishing and communicating course schedules, assisting students in enrolling into all courses within their program and adjusting established schedules, and communicating with students regarding their course load and other pertinent subjects. The ideal candidate will have a high level of technical problem solving and ingenuity and will enjoy working in a high-detailed environment. Drive, determination and a self-disciplined approach to achieving results that meet established standards of quality and accuracy are necessary for success in this job.



Responsibilities

    Establishes course schedules in partnership with the Education team to ensure proper student densities and minimize students being out of school.
  • Processes all scheduling tasks within the student information system.
  • Assists students with all activities related to scheduling and communicates with administration and students appropriately regarding scheduling modifications.
  • Processes all student changes related to student enrollment status and program.
  • Maintains student records and monitors activity to ensure that documentation is prepared and distributed appropriately.
  • Evaluates students who are double coursing to ensure they meet necessary guidelines to double course
  • Processes articulation and challenge test requests.
  • Finalizes all student starts to ensure accurate reporting for campus starts that are critical to internal and external reporting.
  • Fully executes enrollment agreements for program changes and re-enrolls.
  • May serve as back up to Registrar (depending on campus location).
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or completion of GED required.
  • 2 years' experience in administrative position with responsibility for complex administrative assignments involving spreadsheets and/or analytical reasoning and problem solving.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated, strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of basic computing and word processing applications. Intermediate speed in 10-key.
  • Critical thinking skills and strong planning skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines

Abilities

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds or less 5% of the workday
  • Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
  • Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
  • May require some travel.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
