POSITION

The FP&A Lead (COO and Engineering and Technology) will report to the Head of Corporate Finance and will manage a team of finance business partners. This position will be based in Charlotte and the individual will be required 3 days/week in the office. This role will support the Chief Operations Office and our Engineering and Technology departments, and will play a critical and highly visible role in financial support of the Chief Operations Office (COO), and Engineering and Technology (ET) with budgets totaling more than $170MM. The COO team includes Global Fund and Client Services, Global Investment Services, Market Data, COO Admin and Human Resources. Strong collaboration and communication with executive leaders, internal business partners and stakeholders is a critical component to success in this role. There are significant opportunities to lead, develop, and implement processes, systems, and strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness for the team and the company.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Senior Finance Business Partner for Allspring Chief Operations Office (COO) and ET on matters related to financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, strategic initiatives, projects, etc.
  • Work closely with the leaders within COO and their broader teams to provide critical financial support. With significant transformation underway in the operations and market data areas, this role is critical and highly visible.
  • Provide proactive financial consultation, expertise and analysis in support of the COO and ET divisions at Allspring
  • Ownership and insights of financial projections and results
  • Utilize financial modeling to accurately manage quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process for $170MM+ lines of business
  • Create an activity-based cost model for COO and ET to support firm profitability model
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, packages, and executive summaries for senior management
  • Maintain strong partnerships with key business partners, stakeholders and executives
  • Closely monitor business results, work with business leaders to model business scenarios, and develop plans to deliver appropriate returns
  • Support and advocate for a culture of expense discipline and continual improvement in operational efficiencies
  • Expertise with cost benefit analysis on projects/initiatives
  • Presents as credible, confident and capable in all interactions with senior levels of the organization
  • Protects operations by maintaining strict confidentiality of company financial information.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7-10+ years of experience in finance and/or accounting, analytics/modeling, reporting
  • Strong people management skills and proven success as a leader
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage deadlines
  • Oracle EPM Planning tool, Essbase and SmartView (this is critical)
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability and willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and achieve results. Must be willing to get into the details.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational discipline
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
  • Proven strategic planning and leadership skills
  • Strong technical skills with MS Office suite - Word, advanced Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, advanced formulas), PowerPoint


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • MBA strongly preferred
  • Functional and technical subject matter expertise in the area of Operations from an accounting and finance perspective
