As an Aircraft Engine Quality Inspector, you'll provide quality assurance support for all company products and processes to ensure that the highest standards for quality are maintained. Monitors processes, develops improvements and interfaces with functional departments to achieve customer satisfaction and to resolve issues through cooperative methods.

What you'll do:

- Reviews factors in light of quality of product and reliability of quality during production.

- Conducts internal audits on departments and business units to ensure compliance with company instructions and policies.

- Ensures compliance to the applicable quality procedures affecting the production process in the cell.

- Participates in continuous improvement of cell processes.

- Research, compiles and reviews company procedures.

- Collects and analyzes quality data for the purpose of identifying trends with respect to non-conformance documents.

- Reports necessary information and offers solutions to production, materials and the company as a whole, to correct specification or process problems that are occurring.

- Monitors warranty procedures including investigation, root-cause, corrective action and follow-up to ensure that continuous improvement is occurring.

- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.

- Verifies the completion of the work instructions identified on the task control number (TCN) and the correct configuration and identification of the end product to ensure task compliance.

- Carries out special projects as assigned.

What you'll need:

- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.

- Thorough knowledge of company instructions, company processes, quality and original equipment manufacturer manuals.

- Knowledgeable in the assembly methods and techniques used.

- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.

- Knowledgeable in the quality requirements relating to the production process.

- Thorough knowledge of Foreign Certification requirements and other regulatory bodies.

- Thorough knowledge of ISO 9000 quality system requirements.

- Thorough knowledge of AS9110, SABER

- Thorough knowledge of Cost of Poor Quality

- Thorough knowledge of Corrective Action Request

- Thorough knowledge of internal audit policies and procedures.

- Thorough knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).

- Working knowledge of production management computer systems.

- College diploma in mechanical engineering technology; or equivalent.

- Experience as an inspector in an aerospace environment.

- Must be authorized to work in the US.
