Responsibilities

Columbus Behavioral Center Outpatient Services is seeking a master's level therapist for our Adolescent Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program. This program utilizes both virtual and in-person treatment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving youth with mental health concerns, a drive to lead a successful program, and ability to problem-solve and work independently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct clinical services including IOP group format and individual and family services as needed
  • Completing psychosocial assessment upon admission
  • Case management and treatment planning
  • Timely documentation that reflect medical necessity
  • Aftercare coordination
  • Insurance utilization, prior authorizations, and follow-up
  • Other duties as needed to promote program growth

Program highlights:

  • Serves ages 12 to 18
  • Four to six weeks of programming, depending on clinical need
  • Can help bridge the gap between acute level of care and individual therapy
  • Can utilize as an alternative to inpatient treatment
  • Can serve as a step-down from residential or acute mental health treatment addressing the following:
    • Depression
    • Mood disorders
    • Anxiety disorders
    • Trauma history
    • Suicidal ideation
    • Self-harm behaviors

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field.
  • Experience: Minimum requirement (1) year of experience providing direct clinical services. Must have strong clinical assessment skills and working knowledge of the DSM.
  • License: LCSW, LMFT or LMHC preferred. License-eligible.
  • Preferred experience: Patient population experience with youth and group therapy programming.
